360° Design for a Startup Brand

Tiny delicate items require big attention. That‘s why working for this retailer of watches and jewellery I made sure the story telling stays exciting and dynamic, but at the same time focused enough on the fine details that make them so coveted.

Started as a ProSieben hub business, Valmano then moved on to being an independent startup and ended up being merged by its competitor, the Christ Group. It was a great opportunity for me to have 360° responsibility. From various marketing campaigns and Social Media content, through packaging design, redesign of the onlineshop, defining the tone of voice of the brand.

Creating a coherent visual identity for the brand that spans over print an digital media, defining a clear tone of voice that the audience can immediately identify.

A MOVING IMAGE

We tell the story of the brand not only in images, but also in videos. This short image film tells the story of a jewellery brand, a local hero, an artisan.

THE FULL PACKAGE

A good customer journey brings the brand all the way to the user even after the purchase was made. We also know that the packaging material that accompany the product not only spark joy, but serve as a long lasting reminder of that good customer experience.

2. CONTENT

Great content is essential for any brand in engaging with the audience, inspiring and calling to action. Reporting trends is one way to do it, which is why we had to constantly surprise our users and ourselves with new stories.

These stories then reappear on the platform itself where they again inspire but also help orient and inform the user on specific assortments, brands and product types.

Image creation plays an essential role in the navigation experience. Creating micro-editorials are not meant just to inspire the user journey, they are also essential for increasing SEO on different landing pages, enhancing their visibility.

GAMIFICATION: THE GIFT FINDER

Playfulness is another side of the brand. we used vector animation to introduce the "Geschenkefinder" our audience, a new feature that helps the user in picking the right gift for their loved ones on Christmas.

SIZE & FILTERING JOURNEY

A specialised platform for jewellery and watches, it was essential to create a dedicated journey for ring sizes, watches by functionality and jewellery by material and colour.

Jewellery and watches are 2 different worlds that require expertise and know-how to navigate thorough. Using assortment specific filters and  clean design, we were able to break down the product assortment into easy to follow categories, and guide the user in filtering through the complex functions of a chrono- graph, but also through the fine nuances of diamonds and gold.
